It can be tricky to knot stretchy beading cord because it's so slippery. Pull the string taught and then tie a square knot or a surgeon's knot. (A surgeon's knot is a square with an extra pass through the loop.)
Add a drop of jeweler's cement to the knot and let it dry before cutting off any extra cord. If possible, tuck the knot inside the nearest bead hole for extra security.
