Crochet Quiz
Cindy Long
These days, there is a quiz for everything in life. There are health quizzes to see if you’re taking care of yourself (I’m not), relationship quizzes to see if you’ve married the right spouse (I did, according to him), and career quizzes to see if you’re in the right job.
This quiz can tell us what our favorite hobby says about our personality. So grab a pencil and take this custom-made test to see what your crocheting habits say about you.
When I see a rare and expensive type of yarn go on sale, I:
A. Buy all the store has.
B. Buy just what I need for a current project.
C. Who waits for a sale?
When starting a new crochet project, I:
A. Work up a sample square to test for gauge.
B. Read through the entire pattern before buying any supplies.
C. Starting a project isn’t a problem; it’s trying to get one completed!
I select a new crochet project based on:
A. Upcoming birthdays and gift-giving events.
B. The theme of my home decor.
C. Whichever size hook I have that hasn’t fallen down the sofa cushions.
While I work on my crochet, I also:
A. Watch television or listen to an audio book.
B. Mentally plan out my to-do list.
C. Try to ignore the kids, who are playing baseball … indoors; the washing machine, which is making noises like an elephant with a clubfoot; and the dog, who is using the cat as a chew toy.
When I discover a mistake in my work several rows back, I:
A. Immediately unravel the work back to the error and begin again.
B. Ask someone if the error is noticeable before correcting it.
C. Carefully examine the error, determine the best way to correct it, then stuff the whole mess under the bed until later and go make a hot drink.
If you answered mostly A’s, you are trustworthy, loyal, helpful, thrifty, brave and creative … kind of like a crochet Girl or Boy Scout. If you answered mostly B’s, well, you clearly cheated. If you answered mostly C’s, welcome to the real world of crochet. If you actually finished the entire quiz, it means you spend too much time on quizzes and not enough on crochet!
