Happy Halloween!

In closing out the month of October, I’d like to take a moment to follow up on Judy Crow’s blog entry on October 1st regarding breast cancer awareness. I hope you have made the time this month to follow the suggestions Judy made. I did! If you haven’t yet, please do, whether it is now, next week or next month. But, please, do it -- if not for yourself, then for your loved ones. As a 20-year survivor of melanoma, I can tell you with absolute conviction that early detection works.On a lighter note, I love fall! With the heat of summer over, it is so pleasant to be outdoors even if it does mean I have all those leaves to rake! We’ve had a rather warm fall which makes it extra nice knowing how cold it will become here in Indiana. I’ve decorated my home for fall, and I’m waiting with anticipation for this evening when the little ones come to my door all dressed up, ready for trick or treat!
