Thanks For The Memories!

Posted on May. 30, 2007 by Kris Frye

As Brenda and I have told you, there have been many changes happening here at Annie's Attic and DRG, our parent company, and I'm sorry to say that one change takes me away from the wonderful world of crochet.

Over the last year I've been writing this blog, I've told you about my interest in beading and sewing, and that's where I'm heading: to work with the sewing and beading departments. Look for me as the new Associate Editor for Simply Beads and Sewing Savvy magazines, as well as sewing and beading pattern books and hardcover books -- and a few other places at DRG!

I've spent the last year and a half with Brenda -- and Carol Alexander -- learning the wonderful art of crochet from two masters, and I’m glad for my time spent with both of these wonderful ladies. They're true artists and lovely people with a gift for creating beautiful things out of a bit of yarn with only a hook.

It's also been great getting to know you all! I've enjoyed sharing my life and times with you every other day, and I've loved hearing back from you and meeting crocheters from all around the world. Your messages have brought a smile to my face many mornings, and, if I call Brenda and Carol my teachers, you were the wonderful welcoming committee that greeted me with open arms and hearts.

So, farewell and thanks for the memories! It’s been wonderful chatting with you!
