Announcing the Closing of the Message Boards

Posted on Aug. 25, 2006 by Brenda Stratton

On Wednesday evening of this week, a visual assault was launched on our customers and readers via our message boards by a new member. To each of you who were affected, we offer you our deepest and most sincere apologies. We are tremendously sorry this happened.

As a result of this incident, we were understandably inundated with customer service complaints, which is costly to our company in terms of time and money spent handling them. Because of the damage to our customers and readers and to our company, the decision has been made to close the message boards.

Our Web administrator, Marylee Klinkhammer, explains:

"We find ourselves in the unfortunate position of being unable to completely protect our members against this type of visual assault. We value our customers and members and it is with sadness we announce the following:

The forums are now locked. This means you may view any messages already on the forums, but cannot post a new message. The existing forums will be taken down within a week or so.

There is a wealth of good information here, please take advantage of this grace period and print or otherwise save any messages you so desire.

Again, we extend our deepest apologies to each of you."

Warm regards,

Marylee Klinkhammer

While I, too, am sad that this measure was necessary, I feel it is in the best interest of all. Kris and I will miss chatting with you, but we hope you’ll continue enjoying the many other aspects of our Web site.

Best wishes,

Brenda
